Terremoto Party 1989-1992

After Holger Waldschläger had left the band, they quickly found a new singer. With Andre Kröger, the band not only had a singer who could sing, but who also fitted in well with the band’s musical ideas. The band experienced a clear boost in development. Over the years, various recordings were made in an 8-track studio. As part of the museum’s work, the Bleifrei Studio in Bochum-Langendreer should be remembered here. “Rolle” – full time telecommunications technician at the post office- ran an affordable studio here at weekends. For 150 DM a day you could get equipment that you couldn’t afford at that time. He had nothing to do with punk, hardcore and indie, but over time he had come to terms with it.
As official releases during the time with Andre Kröger, there was actually only one sampler contribution and one vinyl single. For these we had rented a studio, which would have been better not taken. Unfortunately, they didn’t understand anything about our style of music and in retrospect you can ask yourself whether they understood anything about their equipment. At that time, the band also lacked experience in implementing their own sound ideas. In retrospect, however, these recordings also have their charm.
During the band’s history with Andre, we had our first contact with the music publisher Energie MV. At that time we wanted to play in the Gysenberg hall in Herne. It was more by chance that we were booked for a newcomer festival. We then won won the festival. Someone from Energie MV saw us at this concert and approached us later. Unfortunately, at that time the singer and the rest of the band had different ideas about how much effort they should put into the band. diverged. So it came to a break-up in 1992. The history as a trio can be followed up in the “Recent History” section.

Single 1990

The last two songs were recorded, but not pressed onto the single. At that time we were of the opinion that the quality would suffer. Here is the complete recording. With – depending on your taste – maybe even the stronger songs.
Live concert in 1990 at the HDKJ in Bochum. A place where a band from Bochum had to play at least once. Digitalised shortly before the demise of the VHS tape. The videos are on Youtube. Therefore I have to point out that by playing them you leave the area of Hirncut Music and that the data protection regulations of YouTube apply..
